My pendrive is not opening/formatting

Hello,
my pendrive is nor opening neither formatting.it jus says that there is no drive in the disk in the drive....plz suggest me wat shud i do now?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

My pen drive is not opning and not formating.
And it is showing errer please insert a disk into drive ( i ).
