Game would not recognize any disc

Hello, my problem started out being the game would freeze after playing for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then it came to it would not recognize any disc. I tried the resting the system and its doing the same thing. Any ideas?

If you were to take the game and put it into another console, it will boot?

Maybe the Lens needs cleaning. Locate the DVD lens and clean with a dry q-tip. Let us know. YOu shouldn't have to take anything apart to accomplish this.

How would I go about getting a q-tip into the drive to clean the lens?

OH, I guess you never said what console, I assumed you were talking about the PS3. See how details get in the way!

Well it is. But I don't see how to get that in there when you can't see with the foam strip there

There is no foam strip. Take the disk out, and there is the iris and the receiver.
