Hello,
Anyone have advice (of course, everyone has advice) but, I need a driver for an gforce 6100le motherboard (mb), with an AMD 5600+ CPU, operating on VISTA Ultimate.
I keep getting "this USB device will operate faster on a 2.0 USB hub."
Well, golly! I'd like that. It is a USB port. It worked great on XP! But Vista? I haven't found a driver, yet.
This program I got, Driver Detective, advertises "let us fix your USB problems." No way, they don't even answer my e-mails, much less fix my driver problems.
I don't really know if the gForce, nForce drivers have anything to do with the USB port. They don't seem to affect it.
Anyone out there have the correct answer?
Configuration: Windows Vista Ultimate 64, AMD 5600+, 182.08_geforce_winvista_64bit_english_whql, Internet Explorer 7.0, 15.23_nforce_winvista64_international_whql, gForce 6100LE mb, 4gb Ram
That message usually means the device is running on older USB1.1 rather than the devices native 2.0 usb, i other words its normal, just means the mobo doesnt have usb2. However it seems odd a board of its ages doesnt have USB2....wierd. If you are using the front USB ports try the rear ones...it could be the back ones are the usb2's |
I need usb 2.0 too for vista 64 ultimate
