This software has been featured in your French newsletter CommentCaMarche and I read lots of horrors online about it. How come it was not in Kioskea newsletter? Is it good or bad? Where is the truth?

Hello,

What you have read on CCM's newsletter is a "How-to" to use Software Informer.

Newsletters in the different languages are elaborated independently so that they are adapted to the different audiences' needs.

If CCM published the How-to for Software Informer, it's because it is safe. How good ? That's for the user to evaluate.

How come, if it's safe, I read online:
'Software Informer is dangerous software hijacker, keylogger, and spyware' 'Software Informer is manipulating google searches'
This is quite concerning.

We don't read the same articles. You can't rely on comments left here in there by Tom, Dick and Harry.
One or two say that it downloads incompatible updates, but that's another story and an individual experience and have nothing to do with what someone may think it's a virus of some sort.

It has been scanned by CCM and recently updated.

The best bet is to do like I do. I update my software myself, when I really need a new version or when I install the software, I ask to get a warning that there is an update.
