My ipod touch was drained and it doesn't charge.

Hello. I would like some help. Uhh see. I didn't charge my iPod for a week because I placed it somewhere so I couldn't find it. And when I found it, tried to chareg it. The logo doesn't appear and it doesn't charge.
Its been for like 2 months now and I really want to use it. I tried those holding/pressing the buttons but it still doesn't work. Im still freaking out. I still dont know what to do. I can't afford to go to the shop and let them fix it cause it'll cause a lot but yeah. Hope you guys could help me. Thank you in advance :)
