Internet connection issue

I brought the hp g6 pavilion laptop couple of years ago..there was no problem at all in its funtioning...but suddenly i am facing an connectivity(internet) problem.
I use a dongle to connect to internet..it establishes connection between my laptop and the net server,but browser don't show me the webpages..as i enter url into browser,it dnt goes further and stops the process...
I have check the connection with help of 'ping' command,packets are being exchanged and show reply also..
I have also tried reinstalling the browser,but problem didnt solved..
Please help me to get solution for this issue, os installed is win7 ultimate
