I bought a new USB and when I used it in my PC it was just working properly. I've got to have a soft copy of some files so I need to insert my USB to my friend's laptop. At first, it worked just fine but it suddenly cannot be detected by the laptop. I tried inserting it on different PCs but still it cannot be read just like the other USBs of mine. Any suggestion for this case? Thanks

Hi

After plugging in the device, go to device manager (In run type "devmgmt.msc") In Device manager go to "Universal serial bus controllers" It should list the storage devices that you have connected to the PC. Right click and then click "Uninstall. Remove the USB drive and restart your system.
Try connecting the device again.

Thanks for your suggestion but it is still not working. I don't even receive a notification that this USB flash drive is connected to my computer. What else should I have to do?

1.Check the USB port is enabled and powered.
2.Plug the product then go to device manager (Right click the My computer icon,
properties, hardware, device manager)
3.Click + next to the Universal serial bus controllers or other device to see if anything
that is with yellow question mark or green exclamation mark.
4.Please choose it and update the driver. You may choose Windows Update or from
the CD-ROM. (Please insert Microsoft Windows XP/2000/ME CD). This device should
show as a USB mass storage device in USB Controllers, and the driver positionshould be C:WINDOWSsystem32driversusbstor.sys.
