Well, we do not know what type of dongle it is, or what it is for, or what O/s you are using.

Do this to post:
when error occurs, press the PrtScn button, then open paint. Paste into the paint program, and save the file. Then instead of adding a comment to the post, post a reply, this will give you a picture upload icon.
SO, your friends works fine in your machine, but yours does not? What does yours do if you put it into your freinds machine?
Error 633 is a microsoft modem misconfigured error., if it is being generated by your OS, as addressed in this post https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/191444/
