Laptop not booting

my computer is not starting and if itdoes after struggling and difficulty ,after entering the password the screen is just blank.the fun is working.i have tried switching it on and off removed the battery but still not working.
it is showing cursor only and black sceen
please advise.

Hello,
Try this 1
Check if you are able to boot into the safe mode.
When you switch ON your PC, start tapping the "F8" key to get "Startup Settings" options ( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keep tapping the F8 key)
Select the option "Safe Mode".
Also let us know the operating system you are using.

am using windows 8 and it is asking for the booting operating system disc which i dont have

Hello,

Try this 1

Go to BIOS --> Load default settings --> Make sure the first boot device is

set to your hard drive --> Save the settings and exit from it.
