Phone frozen after downloading Kies to PC

Phone frozen after attempting to downlocad Kies app to PC.
Phone message says " Firmware upgrade encountered and issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. when I do that it asks for a recovery ID, which I do not have.

I have a Samsung Galaxie III phone but do not have other data as I cannot access my phone any longer.

Samsung kies is absolutely a trash! We can not even imagine the great company make this useless, clumsy program.
Check online for more samsung kies alternatives. :P
