Hard drive doesn't show in my computer

Hello,

My USB drive, WD ELEMENT1023 the usb Flash drive is connected, but it's not showing up. in my computer

I can hear the sound when plugging it in, but the icon won't show under "My Computer"


I tried different USB ports already

Control panel > device and printers shows the USB flash drive icon but i can only update its drive or look at the properties

Windows 7 home edition

USB Flash Drive: Elements 1023

Please i need urgent assist , i need to work on the files that are located on that drive

is the device's model name showing up . if not it might just not be recognized by windows. it once happened

to my card reader becoz i had accidentally dropped it , it didn't sound good . some hardware must have been

damaged. you just can't do any thing with it , if it was the above mentioned problem other than getting rid of it.
