Trying to create a formula where I have a merged cell (E18) that if 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 is entered I want the end result to equal the contents of G18, G19, G20, G21 or G22. Basically I have a "Formal Offer" sheet where the formula will be nested but the data is to be extracted from the "data entry" sheet. So bottom line on the "data entry" sheet if E18 = 1 then I need the cell on the "Formal Offer" sheet to read G18 from the "data entry" sheet. If E18 = 2 then I need the cell on the "Formal Offer" sheet to read G19 from the "data entry" sheet, so on and so forth...I've tried researching this to no avail, I am not too adept at creating formulas and need some expert opinion. Can someone enlighten me please?

Hey ac3mark - thanks for the response. Yeah the name is by conglomeration, not by design (mix of me and work!). Anyhow, I tried INDEX and it "sort of" worked. I was able to institute that formula on the data entry sheet. From the offer sheet I simply put "=" cell from data entry sheet and got it that way. Good enough for me! Thanks for the help and the info - much appreciated!
BTW...the link you provided above appears to be dead.
