1. Click the "Start" button on your Task Bar. In Windows Vista, the "Start" button will look like a blue button with the Windows logo.
2. Locate and click the "Control Panel" option located inside of your "Start" menu. This will bring up your "Control Panel" screen.
3. Double-click the "Vaio Recovery Wizard" button. This will bring up a window.
4. Follow the instructions given during the Vaio Recovery Wizard. When prompted, confirm that you want to reset your Vaio to its original factory settings.
5. Allow the computer upwards of an hour to properly restore itself to factory settings.

Well, I found this, but it looks like you need to know where the Assist Button is...

Press the ASSIST button to perform regular maintenance of your VAIO computer or to solve problems you might encounter when using the computer.

While the computer is on, the ASSIST button starts VAIO Care.

While the computer is off, the ASSIST button starts VAIO Care Rescue.

VAIO Care Rescue can be used to recover the computer in case of emergency, for example, when Windows does not start.

1.
Press the ASSIST button while your VAIO computer is off to start VAIO Care Rescue.

If the Edit Boot Options window is displayed, press the Enter key.
VAIO Care Rescue starts.

*
If the display language selection window appears, select your desired language and click OK.

2.
Click Start recovery wizard.

3.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
