No Hotmail now Outlook attachments allowed

I know this has been asked before. Not sure about just scanning any FAQ on it. (Directed to register, etc before getting responses, then planted into asking a question via this e-mail.)

so. My question is this;

Since Hotmail switched to Outlook I can no longer attach files to any e-mails.

I don't have any "weird"stuff running or open.
Any quick, easy, simple fix that doesn't include editing my REGEDIT file or something equally techie? My guess is that fixing this should be a straight forward simple fix process.

Microsoft provides fix for this issue in the below mentioned thread:

I'm not able to work with attachments in Outlook.com

The steps provided in this link do not involve much of technicalities so I think this link will help you.
