Toshiba keyboard acting weird...

my dad has a windows 7 home Satellite C655, and its been through a ruff ride, and 2 weeks ago the keyboard started acting up, and i tried the turn off the computer and restart it, a few times, if i press S it does this ], D doesn't work, and most of the other letters just make a bunch of spaces and numbers. i was thinking that the keyboard is going out. also the pad does not work

would like to fix it, so if anyone know please feel free to help me :) thanks

If your keyboard is really messing up that badly it could be software but even worse it could be hardware; did you drop it or spill liquid on it that may have damaged it? Do you have a USB keyboard that you could plug in and see if that works?
