Why don't you clone the old hard drive onto the new one. Buy a cheap USB adapter or a full USB case/adapter that will change you old drive into a external hard drive and use the FREE software from this site (Easeus Partition Manager 3.0).

You might want to swap the old drive back in to the laptop. download the software. Do the cloning and swap the drives again. Good Luck

You have done what so many others have done in the past, but yes you can do what you are saying. You will have to reinstall the old hard drive so everything is running as it was then you will need a programme to back your drivers up save them to disc then swap you drive over and recover your drivers.
Another way you could achieve the same result is to clone your 100gb hard drive onto the 250gb hard drive.
There are a few free driver backup programs about and one I found on a search was Portable Driver Magician Lite. I cannot tell you how good or bad this program is as I have not used it but the link to it is below.

Other than that you can purchase a driver program and download online.

You say you cannot get on the internet to look for drivers but you are on the internet typing this question so you could also use the computer you used for this question to look for drivers.
