White screen-active desktop recovery

Hello,

How do i get rid of this white screen that says[ Active Desktop Recovery ]. I have tried click start go to control panel, and i tried click on start>run> and so on. nothing is working. please help. Thanking you in advance.

-right click Desktop > Properties.

-select Desktop tab

-select Customize Desktop button

-select Web tab

- Remove (delete) all other desktop links except for the "My current Home Page" Link, if any others links are listed (checkbox, then delete button)



This step is the clincher:::

-uncheck the "My current Home page checkbox".

-Click Apply

-Click OK



Desktop should return to normal.

Your answer was to - Right click Desktop>Properties. I do not know how to do this
