Shutdown by pressing the power key

friends i em need to know how to shutdown ma laptop by pressing the power key, ma laptop is of dell inspiron 1525
can you please let me know how i manage to to do this i have vist ryt now but in past when i em with win XP i could managed to control the power button throug the control pannel.But since i have installed with vita i couldnt find ma way out..!
