Internet Explorer is not in same network VPN

Hello,

I login to VPN and connect to my office network from home. But Internet Explorer is not running on the same network. It is running through local internet. How to make Internet Explorer run on the same network?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Well how i understand it is VPN's are like actually being where you are VPN'ing into (wow i just used that as a verb) so if you dont have it there you dont have it.
