Ethernet cable not blinking

Hello,


my lenovo l412 laptop 's enthernet cable blinks when connected to a d-link lan hub but is not detected when connected to another laptop directlty with the same cable.i played lan games without any problem before connecting two laptops with the same cable but suddenly this problem started.please help.all my drivers are up to date.

When you connect two computers directly together you almost always need a "crossover cable" which is different from the cable you use to connect a PC and a router or switch. Some PC's are smart and can allow you to use a normal cable.
