Old MSWMM file won't open.Closed

Question

Hello, 
I am trying to open a couple of old MSWMM files created in 2007 (so not sure what version of movie maker I had at the time)

It won't open in the current Windows Live Movie Maker (Windows 7). It displays the following error:
"Sorry, Movie Maker can't open this project file. The file might not be compatible with Windows live movie maker or be corrupted. Please select a different project file."

I also downloaded Windows Movie Maker 2.6 & it doesn't error but comes up blank.

I have seen a number of posts with this problem & still can't see any valid solution? Has anyone had any luck with this?
