Photoshop CS3 Doesn't Open PSDs or Images

Hello,
This problem started today, and I looked at the other posts on this forum, but couldn't solve the issue.
Basically, I open Photoshop CS3, and it starts up just fine. But when I try to open a file, nothing happens. The Open File window works just fine, but when I choose a file to open, absolutely nothing happens.
I tried pressing ESC and then CTRL+SHIFT+S, but that doesn't do anything.

If anyone can help, please do. I'm an artist and I have multiple deadlines to meet, so this is kind of an emergency.

Hello dear , i ' also suffer these types of problem s sometimes i.e. Photoshop CS3 Doesn't Open PSDs or Images . plz help sombody...................
