Laptop help

Hello,
Ok i have a hp laptop and was on it for ten minutes without it plugged in and battery was halfway full i left the room and when i came back it was off so i plugged it in and it still wont come on could the problem be the charger becuase when i press power on the place where the charger goes flashes like its telling me to charge it i really need help thnx

Try this

Unplug your charger,remove your battery,press the power button for a minute.Plug in the charger and power on the PC.If pc boots up then shutdown it again and insert the battery
