Help..computer problems

Hello,

I have a hp a6600f tower and an hp w1907 monitor, the monitor will work with other towers but thte a6600f, when hooked up to the a6600f the screen will display monitor going to sleep I can only get into the menu when the dvi is hooked up but not when the vga is hooked up or even both are hooked up. i have tried hooking up a different monitor to the a6600f tower and still nothing, the screen will say going to sleep. what could be the problem
