I dont have internet explorer icon on my desk

Hello,
From yesterday night from my desktop internet explorer disappeared, even though i have again installed internet explorer. Pl. advice what to do

Configuration: Windows XP

Go to start menue, then all programs then IE right click send to (shortcut to desktop)
