Firefox/IE not working

I had a virus/spyware attack on my computer yesterday. The virus/spyware problem has been solved, but my internet browser is no longer working. I try Firefox and IE, it say "proxy connection"refuse or no connection.

Any suggestions or changes I need to make???

Will deleting the current version of Firefox and IE and installing a new version help solve the problem?

Please help!!!

Hi,

Go to IE tools, internet options, network and uncheck "Use a proxy for this connection". As for Fox on Fire, I don't know but it must be the same.
