Hello,
PC
I have recently reinstalled Windows XP media series and consequently have no sound. I have been through Kioskea archives but do not know which advice is right for my PC. Can you help me to get sound back please?
with thanks NannyBrook

Greetings,

After having installed the new operating system, actually you need to have your sound driver updated, please make use of the installation cd for the sound driver to get it installed and do not forget to get it updated.

Kind regards.

Thank you - I have had to download lots of software to get my computer functioning again. Although I had no sound at all when I first posted, I now have sound when on Itunes or when I play my camcorder videos recovered from the hard drive. There is no sound when I try to play a manufactured CD. Is this possibly because of a problem with the CD player component rather than a sound problem?
Thanks again - NannyBrook
