Hi.
i got a nokia n97 sent from australia. it does look like N97 original, came in black box, with headphone and USB charger that has nokia printed perfectly on it. the homescreen of the phone is exactly like N97, but the inside story is totally different. nothing works much, it says CHECK OPERATOR SERVICES, and the basic menus are nowhere close to what there should be for a N97.
i connected it to my laptop and my windows vista recognised it as MT 9225 device. now what do i do with this phone..i mean is this really a N97 or a chinese duplicate item being cheated to a user..
anybody got suggestions for me ?
thanks
(can i submit its picture here ?)
cheers !

Hello,

You can confirm whether it is a genuine one checking the IMEI through contacting the manufacturer. Yet if you have any trouble in doing the task, get it checked out at a Repair shop.

Thanks.
