already update adobe reader 9 still cannot watch video from youtube.

Adobe Reader is for PDF files - what you want is Adobe Flash.

Xpcman is totally correct and for watching video online you need Adobe flash player ,latest version is available on official Adobe website,follow this link:

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
