HELP wirless router/ps3/ip trouble

Hello,
I just purchased a wireless router.. and its WIRED to my comp and my modem.. now i go to WIRLESSLY connect it to my PS3 and when doing so when i have to test my connection it says Obtaining my IP: failed

what do i do?
