Reset recovery partition Compaq F700

I installed Windows 7 on my F700. Now I want to take it back to Vista. I cannot find the recovery DVDs I made and cannot acess the recovery partition. I can see the files on the recovery partition, I just cannot seem to make it boot. I checked for recovery cds from hp. Quite a circular effort, so ordering a set is out of the question.

If someone knows how to boot the recovery partition, that would be great

Hi,

The recovery partition will be of no use as you already modified cd drive and installed 7 on it,all depends on you now you want to recover to factory ordering recovery cd or install vista from installation dvd and download drivers one by one.
