My dell computer will make it through the BIOS, however after that it shows a blank black screen with a cursor. I can make it into the BIOS boot menu and choose the drive to boot from and things like that. However even when I choose to run the Dell diagnostics utility, it will not move past this same point, and when I choose my hard drive it goes back to the same point as well. Windows XP is installed on the computer. And this happened after I had put the computer into stand by over night.
