IPodTouch problem with connecting to internet

Hello,
OKay so, basiclly my ipod touch wont connect to the internet, but if i go to settings and look at the wifi, it says its connected. & it has the three bar symol in the top left corner, but when i click on safari to open up a page it says im not connect. whats going on with my ipod and how can i fix it?
