Hello,

I have a acer monitor that I am having trouble with. The screen is black and it appears not to be working even though there is power. They want me to check it with another desktop to see if it is the monitor or the computer. I don't hane another desktop but I do have a laptop. How would I check it on a laptop?

Thank you,
Sid

Hi,

If you have a laptop, then try connecting your monitor to your laptop. Just look

for the VGA connector ( a monitor symbol ) in your laptop and connect your

monitor.

Note : If you failed to get display in monitor, then use the proper combination

keys(like Fn+F5) to get display in the external monitor which is connected to the

laptop.

Hi there,

Lets have these instructions followed hook the monitor to laptop:

Connect the monitor cable to vga port then press Fn + F% at same time to swap display.
