HDD not detected on the bios and windows

hi my 20 gb seagate hdd was making some cracking noise i was busy in my exams.my hdd is now not able to detect in my windows or bios.can any 1 help me plz..thank u

What u do is download ubuntu.It will detect ur hdd.Cause my pendrive also was not detected the i used ubuntu it detected & repaired the software.In case if it is not software problem.Then it is machine problem.Just remove the screws from UR hdd & check wats the prob.Then u can get to know

Hi,

If it is not detected in the BIOS too, that's means your HDD is DEAD due to a crash, you must change it.
