Connection Between Local internet and VPN

Hello,

We have access to VPN as well as Local internet connection and I would like to access local internet connection when I'm connected to VPN, We dont have permission to browse in clients network(VPN) but we can browse in local internet network, hence I would like to open two internet explorer, one in VPN and other in local network, How do i configure that?

Please advice

Configuration: Windows 2000
Firefox 2.0.0.14 as well as internet explorer

Setup a virtual machine to use your VPN or Internet connection and use it as needed, while your host system will be using opposite connection
