Hello,

I have been having issues with my dv6000 (dv 6519tx) laptop wherein everytime i start my laptop it gives four beeps, out of which first one is long and the rest are shorter, with certain gap between the first and the rest.

I tried to remove memory from slot and replaced back in procedure but it still didnt work.

Before getting into this status i had other issues with display aswell. I used to get some error everytime i start my laptop with blue screen saying n_vi and some numbers (not 100% sure) and sometimes even it used to startup with 6 screens in one. Finally when it reaches to desktop screen it used to be one screen as usual , i wasnt sure during that time and now iam paying back with pain....please help

windows xp

Need to know your motherboards bios manufacturer to help This will come up on screen at start up like Award or Phoenix some name like that.
However if you go to this site with that information it will tell you how to troubleshoot the beep codes.
