Hello,
I have downloaded so much crap just trying to get this AntispywareXP 2009 off my computer and nothing has worked, I have went in and deleted files/folders, all that crap but the red X is still coming up and now when I click on a site my computer is automatically going to a site that wants me to download the AntispywareXP. Has anyone found anything that will help so I don't have to pay so much to get it taken off. My local service provider said it would take anywhere from $60-$100 to get it off.
Any help is so very much appreciated!!!

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 8.0

Hey Dude;

Usually if you try Lavasoft is can help. <lavesoft.se>The free versions usually work OK. You don't have to buy any thing. But usually if you hit Control, Alt, Del keys and go into task manager. You can find "Save.now and Now.Net.
They are 2 of the most used spyware programs. If they are not there then look for other programs that should not be there. Remove them and see what happens.

Hello,

First do this :

Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from http://images.malwareremoval.com/random/RSIT.exe and save it to your desktop.

Double click on RSIT.exe to launch program.
Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
Your firewall may alert you that RSIT is requesting Internet access. Please allow it.
Once it has finished, two logs will open: log.txt<-- this will be maximized and info.txt<-- this will be minimized.

Post log.txt in your answer.

Both logs are in the folder C:\rsit

Antispyware xp 2009 is a duplicate of Antivirus 2009. that is an unwanted program, from the authors of Antivirus 2008 . These applications have resembling interface and "features". After stealth installation, Antivirus 2009 will show tonns of fake spyware\adware detection messages and offers to remove reported threats (after you purchase commercial version). But in real Antivirus 2009 is not a spyware cleaner, it's just an imitation of spyware remover. Antivirus 2009 can also slow your computer and cause system errors and crashes. Remove Antivirus 2009 using manual removal instructions (for advanced users) or removal tool.

use manual removal guide

AntispywareXP2009 comes from the same source as Antivirus XP 2008. The name “Antispyware XP 2009” makes allusion to Windows XP and this fact may attract customers to this fraudulent tool. I suggest you to use manual removal guide: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-antispywarexp2009.html
