XP reboots automatically

Hello,



<config>Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.3</config

My PC reboots after windows XP complete start up. I can even begin to open an application then of all sudden the it reboots. it is ok in safe mode

I see and application call "REBOOTX" in the startup what is that? a virus?
pls help. I have 'RAID" with two HDD and im told if they they do not have same data due to improper shutdown , it can result in the rebooting. can this be true and how to do get myself out of this mess? pls help

enough about itself to let you troubleshoot further. To change the recovery settings to disable automatic rebooting:

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

2. Click the Advanced tab.

3. Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings to open the Startup and Recovery dialog box.

4. Clear the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times.

5. Restart your computer for the settings to take effect.
