Hard disk error

Hello,
i am using a compaq laptop. first i had winxp in it but for some reason i installed win vista.then i again tried to install win xp but a message appear before installation"hard disk drive could not be found.make sure any hard disk drive is properly connected or installed"something like this. so setup could not continue but win vista was installed.it is not vista programmed laptop.i need some help about this problem.please reply with solution on my email address.

You need to wipe the VISTA partition off your hard drive before installing XP.

Download this free partition tool and use it to delete ALL partitions on your hard drive.
