I doubt you have uninstalled the driver. Windows will default to its standard VGA driver when it can't find the appropriate video driver and you will still have a screen displayed.
This sounds more like a failed backlight or inverter (it supplies power to the backlight) if this is laptop. The solution is to get it serviced by a qualified laptop repair shop.

The driver is not concerned as per what you mentioned,please check the monitor cable,plug it well to video card else change the graphic card,
