Hello,
I have a laptop.
Presario C500, with,
Windows vista home basic
32 bit OS, SP 1
Intel(R) Celeron(R) M CPU 440 @ 1.86 GHz

I gave my lap to my cousin nd when I got the lap back, there were many problems. Mostly they are related with malware, virus, spyware, etc, I think.

-After the start up nd entering the user pass, simply a light blue screen is there. Just nothing else. No error messages, nothing. But the task manager get opened thru (Cnrl+Alt+Del). When I run the "explorer.exe" as a new task, the blue screen goes, nd it's becomes normal.
- Cannot open regedit from run
- nd also some other things like regedit were not able to run. but service.msc worked.
- Another main thing was, CPU Usage was always, 100%

I am completely new to such problems, nd this is the first time since a year this happened to my lap.

but a followed a virus/spyware/malware cleaning guide at(https://www.techspot.com/community/topics/updated-4-step-virus-spyware-malware-removal-instructions.58138/

through this some problems were solved like 100%Cpu usage, regedit problem.
But still, the start up blue screen problem exits. Somebody please help me!!
thanks in advance!

Running processes: End Task to the following processes

CTRL+ SHIFT + ESC

;Processes tab;

C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe

;End task;

You dont have Trend Micro installed as an antivirus, you have AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic
i have noticed this with some files, small exe's on startup which are hidden that wont come up in any antivirus that play around with some systems

you might want to delete this file if it exists in (C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis)
and then run 'msconfig'

START->RUN-> (type) "MSCONFIG" without quotations.
;Startup tab;

Untick HijackThis.exe

Apply and restart computer

see if that does anything...
