I need a mixing device free

Hello,
i have a windows xp home edition and every time i want to listen to music a pop up appears and says you dont have a mixing device can someone plz tell me where i can dpwnload one of these device fast,with no virus,that actualy works and FREE?

Everything should be included in the drivers for your sound card/chip.

What's the make and model of your computer? or motherboard make/model if it's a generic PC.

I have a dell inspiron 530 and i rebooted my pc so i had 2 start my whole pc over ans i dont hav a mixing device cd
