Unable to boot from windows cd

Hello,
I am trying to reformat my computer and I want my bios to boot from the cd rom. I get the message to press any key to boot from cd and when I do this I get the “boot from atapi…” and nothing more than that. Anyone can help me in this issue please?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
Are you sure that the cd rom is a bootable one and also if you made a copy of the cd then it wont be bootable. Al so if you have more than one optical drives then you must select the one where you have the windows cd loaded. All dc roms are atapi compatible. Just check also to see if your hard disk in connected in the primary master port.
