How do i stay safe (stay clear of trojans, virus) without getting infected ????

Don't download except from trusted sites. "FREE" software offers should be avoided.

You don't have to stay clear of all "FREE" software downloads. There are legitimate FREE programs out there but do your research on them before you download. CNETS Download.com is usually a good website to get FREE software and everyday users give reviews on them. Again, do your homework before downloading any software!
