Desk Top Lock Out

Hello,
I think I have picked up a desk top lock out virus, it gives me a window that scans and says I have 42 differant trojans, but then wants $80 to download a run this program. It has locked out all icons and will not let me restore, or run any programs at all. Anyone have any idea what I might be able to do here.

Dear Bill,

This could actually be a fake scan just to make you buy that specific anti virus software. Please get to restoring your system to see whether the problem gets solved.
