if you want to connect 6 comp with LAN, i don't know exactly you connect with Server or Not, if you connect
6 pc in LAN ( Local Area Network) with server it is easy, but if you want to connect 6 pc without server it calls peer to
peer.In cost thing LAN without Server is cheaper than LAN with server but it is not security for your connection or your data.cos every user if they know password they steal your data.

first you have to make 2 straight cables. each for one computer connect them to the switch. then for ip address it will give from the server or if it cant make them manual.

You have to check the computers status if One computer is on Domain and other is a workgroup u will not be able to make a communication between these two pcs using LAN.Just simply connect both computers with the LAn if they r commincated after thn u will connect with the switch |
