My system not booting from xp pro cd

Hello,
i am trying to load last xp and my system is not going past "the boot from cd ....." screen. can some one help me fix this.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.1

Is this cd going into a new system or old. how much ram is in the system or do you have enough space in your hard drive to install the cd. Did you go into your bios and made sure you can boot from your cd-rom and not the hard drive or floppy. Are you pressing on the space bar or any key when it tells you to down load from cd.

Yes i did all of that. th cd rom reads the cd in windows. i am trying to install a new installiation.

I'm having the same problem,i think its a dell issue cause this same cd works on other pc's but not on dell 4 some reason.
