Clearing my bios

Hello,

i have some problems in clearing my bios setup actaully i can access it but one friend told me if i want to clear it all i need to do is to remove the battery and then reput it back. i just want to get the settings which was there before and i dont know how to do it.

anyone has a solution to my problem please?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Go to Bios make sure all the lights on the keyboard are on..
Capslock / Num lock/ Scroll Lock
Press and hold down the Altkey and press E and wait for a beep
Then Do alt + F
Then Alt + B it will reboot the computer.. and will reset the bios
