Hi...

Just turn the speakers off when you are using the headphones.

And how to just turn the speakers off when I am on the headset? on my sound management I have buttons: Master volume, wave, SW synth, SPDIF, CD volume, mic volume. And there is absolutely no speakers that can be turned off.
If I off the master volume both the headset and the computer will be mute.
So I would really appreciate an explanation for dummies (me he he) so as to be able to turn off my computer speakers when I have my headset on.
Thanking you in advance!
Solvejg

Hi,
I had the same kind of problem once. all u have to do is try reinstalling the audiodrivers.
Follow the below set of steps to reinstall the audio drivers

1.Right-click My Computer icon and select Properties.
2. Click Hardware Tab then click Device Manager Button.
3. Click on the + mark beside sound, audio and game controllers and you will have the list of audio drivers.
4. Right click and uninstall the audio drivers from the unit and once done restart the unit.

After the restart, download and install the audio driver which is particular to ur computer set.

hope this helps..

Hope this solves your problem too.....

Control panel > sound and audio > audio tap > choose front output, front input (from drop down menu).
Go to Realtek HD Audio Manager > audio I/O tap > deselect "Multi-streaming enabled" botton.
The sound comes out through the headphone instead of the CPU.

Hey guys, simply go to control panel and disable sound device (also all bluetooth devices). Then click apply button and again back to enable only sound device. It will just work fine.
Cheers. :)

HI

We had a loud high pitched whistling sound coming from our desktop server HP Proliant 310 (we couldn't identify where it was coming from but looked like it was near the PSU or a component near the PSU on the motherboard. We were about to replace the PSU and then the motherboard if that didn't resolve it. BUT before we shut down the whistlng stopped and restarted shortly after re-boot. My IT guy checked the adaptec array in the bios (we have RAID 5) and guess what. It was an alarm to advise one of the disks was having an issue. There was no other indication. The sound is horrible and sounds like a failing PC.!! Turned the alarm off in the software and are re-building that disk. Hope this helps some people.
